With just a few weeks to go until the World Cup Floral Art in The Hague, everything is starting to build. The pace is picking up, the excitement is mounting, and behind the scenes, it’s all systems go.

I’m keeping my head down, focused on the work, and doing my best to stay calm and consistent. Preparations are going well. My structures are finished, my flowers are looking magnificent, and my team and I are settling into a rhythm that feels both challenging and deeply rewarding.

This event is, without question, the biggest moment of my twenty-year career. I’ve taken part in international design competitions before, but nothing comes close to the scale or significance of the World Cup. To represent the UK on a global stage is an incredible honour, and I don’t take that lightly.

It’s the kind of opportunity that demands the very best. The best materials, the best flowers, and the very best people behind the scenes. Because while I’ll be the one stepping into the arena, I won’t have got there alone.

So before we head into the final stretch, I want to take a moment to share my sincere thanks with the businesses and individuals who have supported me on this journey. Their help, advice, generosity and encouragement have made all the difference, and I’m truly grateful.

To the Society of Florists Training Fund, thank you for your contribution and support of UK floristry.

To the UK Judges Guild and the British Florist Association, thank you for championing British floristry and helping to make international representation a reality.

To our brilliant product partners and suppliers:
Smithers Oasis, thank you for your innovative products and consistent support.
Lehner Wool, for the quality and versatility of your materials.
Phoam Labs, for your thoughtful and forward-looking approach to sustainability.
Florismart Direct, for your commitment to transparency and for connecting designers with brilliant growers.

Marginpar and Decorum Plants & Flowers, for supplying plant material of exceptional quality that is a joy to design with.

To Chrysal, thank you for helping to ensure everything stays in beautiful condition from start to finish.
To Digital Florists, thank you for your technical support and the generosity of your time and expertise.

And a very special thank you to Sue Smillie Flowers, whose personal encouragement and thoughtful support have meant the world. I am so grateful for your kindness.

Every one of these partners has contributed to this journey in a meaningful way, and I couldn’t be more proud to work with them. If you’re not familiar with their work, I encourage you to take a look. These are people and businesses making extraordinary things happen in floristry.

There’s still plenty to do, but I feel ready. The flowers are coming together, the vision is clear, and soon it will be time to take the stage and give it everything I have.

Thank you for following along. It means more than you know.
