This October, Joseph is heading back to Ireland!
Not just for a Masterclass, but for the first in-person event in a new educational partnership with the Institute of Flowers that will run for years to come.
Taking place on October 18th - 19th 2026, the two-day Wedding & Event Masterclass will bring Joseph together with florists from across Ireland for two days of hands-on learning, new ideas and, naturally, a lot of flowers.
And it feels like a very good place to begin.
Joseph has been connected with the Irish floristry community for more than a decade, so this new chapter feels especially exciting.
Over the next few years, there will be more opportunities to learn with Joseph, both in person and online, with each part of the partnership designed to help florists keep developing their skills, creativity and confidence.
But first, October.
THE WEDDING & EVENT MASTERCLASS
Across two full days, Joseph will work with students to explore contemporary Wedding & Event floristry, from bridal design and statement centrepieces through to larger-scale floral installations.
The focus will be practical, hands-on and rooted in the way Joseph actually approaches professional design: understanding the mechanics, the design choices, the scale and proportion, and how all of those elements come together to create something that feels considered and complete.
There will also be a strong focus on sustainable floral design, including the use of Renewal, kenzans and alternative mechanics, and how these techniques can be used confidently within real Wedding & Event work.
And this one is going to be a real portfolio-building powerhouse.
The aim is not simply to spend two lovely days making flowers - it's to leave with stronger skills, greater confidence and a deeper understanding of how to approach your own work, whether that means refining your bridal designs, developing your centrepieces or feeling more confident when a client asks you to create something on a much larger scale.
THE START OF THINGS TO COME
What makes this Masterclass particularly exciting is that it doesn’t stand alone.
It is the first live moment in a partnership that will continue to grow over the next few years, with more opportunities to learn, explore new ideas and keep developing as a floral designer.
This October is the first part of that journey, and we’re very excited to see where it leads.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The Wedding & Event Masterclass is for floral designers who want to expand and hone their floristry skills and knowledge.
It's particularly suited to designers looking to develop their Wedding & Event work, explore new techniques, strengthen their understanding of design and mechanics and gain more confidence working across different scales.
You will love the step by step, expert guidance, the opportunity to work alongside Joseph in person and the chance to explore his approach to creativity, sustainability and solid design theory.
Dates: October 18th - 19th 2026
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Hosted by: Institute of Flowers
Whilst techniques will be explained and guided throughout, we would recommend having some previous floristry experience or training to ensure you get the most from the Masterclass.
If you're ready to secure your place, you can reserve your space via the Institute of Flowers.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with the Institute of Flowers on this collaboration. Supporting florists in Ireland has always been close to my heart. I was lucky enough to be involved with the Irish floristry community over a decade ago, and it’s a joy to return in this new capacity.
Education is such an important part of what we do and I truly believe every florist deserves the chance to further their skills, expand their creativity, and build the career they dream of. This partnership is all about opening those doors and making that possible.” - Joseph Massie
This October is where it begins.
We hope we’ll see you there.
